Miley Can’t Be Tamed Debut

As it turns out, Miley Cyrus’ controversial performance on “Britain’s Got Talent” did turn into some solid record sales across the pond. According to Ditgital Spy, the “Hannah Montana” star debuted at #8 in England with “Can’t Be Tamed”, which features the hit single of the same name. Eminem took the top of the charts with “Recovery”, and he was followed up by Oasis and the Black Eyed Peas.

So what are the expectations for Miley in the United States? With the Disney Channel being far more popular here (not to mention that one of her hit songs is all about America), we can easily expect her to make a top five debut. However, the early estimates do suggest that Miley is in for a far weaker debut than 2008’s “Breakout”, and could pull in only slightly over 100,000 albums. While that may be impressive by some standards, the singer has been heavily promoted across the country — Eminem, meanwhile, is expected to debut with over 600,000 sold.

Did you buy Miley Cyrus’ new album? Feel free to share your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest news.
