Miley

Miley Cyrus is a teen actress, singer, designer, songwriter, dancer, and author. Born as Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 – to Billy Ray and Leticia Tish Cyrus in Nashville, TN. Named her Destiny Hope, because her parents believed that she would accomplish great things. A nickname she developed as a child was “Smiley”, which later turned into Miley. Miley become an overnight sensation after the Disney Channel premiere of the hit series, “Hannah Montana” in which she stars in as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana.  After the sucess of the show, a soundtrack was released in mid- 2006 that debuted at #1  and grew on to sell over 3.6 millions copies in the U.S. alone, which made it one of the top selling soundtracks in history! In June 2007, Miley release a double disc CD which included the second soundtrack to Hannah Montana, as well as her solo debut album “Meet Miley Cyrus”, which debuted at #1 and sold more than the previous disc. To date, selling over 3.2 million copies in the U.S. alone. From her debut solo disc, she release her first smash hit single “See You Again” which debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard charts.  Due to the sucess, Miley went on a sold-out arena “Best of Both Worlds” tour with her current boyfriend at the time, Nick Jonas and his band. Later on, in July 2008, she released her second solo album intittled “Breakout”, which no suprise, debuted on top! Most songs included on the album were about ex-boyfriend and Jonas Brothers member Nick Jonas. The disc’s lead single “7 Things” debuted at #9 – making it Miley’s most sucessful single at the time.
